Minimum wage and award-dependent workers will receive a 1.75 per cent pay rise, raising the base-line rate to $39,167.60 per year or $19.84 per hour.
This year’s judgement is a bit unusual with certain industries getting the increase at different times. Some industries are getting an increase on 1 July 2020, some on 1 November 2020 and some on 1 February 2021 depending on which Award they are covered by.
Most clerical workers will be covered by the Clerks – Private Sector Award 2010 and will receive a 1 November 2020 payrise.
However, some workers in specific industries, such as Community and Aged Care or Health Support Services have a different date for the pay increase.
